About Us

Palmer Refuse, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Mike and Mary Palmer and Thomas C. Woods III, friends since high school, with the common vision of the services that a small company could provide for their community.  The business expanded in 1988, providing services to South Central Lincoln and rural Lancaster County.

In 1989 the business partnered with the city and the county to determine ways to recycle waste and procedures for dealing with grass and leaves.

Members of the Lincoln Solid Waste Management Association since 1986, Mike Palmer has held the position of President for the years of 1999 and 2000, the 50th anniversary year for the LSWMA.

From 1996 through 2000, the company added three more additions of Mike and Mary's three sons, Micah, Colby, and Kelsey.

With the untimely passing of "Chip" Woods, Shredding Soultuions will be another essential service provided by the small company the partners founded to provide wastemanagement services to the community they love.
